Disney College Program!

I had known about the Disney College Program since i was a junior in high school and I had always dreamt about participating in the program and getting my foot in the door with the company and now opportunity was knocking at my door...

*I am telling you some people may dream to become singers and actresses...my dream was to work at Disneyland...and though in the back of my mind I never really thought I would, I just thought it was just a dream I had...and now that dream was becoming a reality.*
So I then decided that I would stop going to school and just focus on the college program and continue school after it was all done. So I did...Anyways....my first class that I took was called Blended Learning Series and was basically just a fun class that taught us about how the company started (which I already knew...cuz I am kinda obsessed with Disney lol) and we did some group games and teambuilding skills. One of the games we did was we had to get into groups of about 5 (there was about 40 students) and we were given a sheet with about 30 characters on it and the mission was to correctly name each one and be the first team to do so! *sidenote---there was this girl in my class that thought she knew everything about Disney, and let me tell you yes she knew a lot some things that I didnt know...but she was the annoying-thought she knew it all-talkative-type...and it just bugged me...and she was just saying that this game was gonna be easy and her team was gonna win...and so I couldn't let that happen...I had to show her that she ain't the only one that knew stuff---* Long story short...my team won! and way ahead of hers too! booyaaah!! lol She was mad cuz she didn't win and I gotta say seeing her reaction when my team thanked me for knowing the characters was so worth it! haha it was fun. Another fun activity we did was a scavenger hunt in the park (Disneyland) in groups. And let me tell you that stuff was hard! we had to count the orbiting planets around the Astro Orbitors ride...things like that.but it was lots of fun running around and guests looking at us like we're crazy! :) My team didn't win, but nobody won so it was cool.lol...Overall that class was just fun.we voluntEARed.played games.&did scavenger hunts!
The second class was Marketing You. I learned how to do my resume correctly and how to market myself when it comes to interviews and being in the workplace. This class taught me a lot about myself, time management, interview strategies and how to work with different personalities when it comes to teamwork.
The third class I took was Speaker Series. This class taught me a lot about the different roles there are around the resort and the company.Basically any major can fit working for Disney. I knew I picked the right company to work for lol. We heard from an Imagineer, horitculture cast members, vice president of the resort, entertainment (Mickey Mouse was there! It was the best! He waved at me! *sigh*), finance cast members, managers, downtown disney manager...etc. All their roles sounded so cool! But the one that stuck out to me was Imagineer...now there are different parts of Imagineering...the one that I liked was visuals, so basically they decorate the parks-from bathroom signs to the giant christmas tree that is put up! Its the creativity and the attention to detail that made me fall more in love with Disney and to be a part of that would be great! :)
The other job I want is CEO of the Walt Disney Company...but gotta go one step at a time here...
Oh! And since starting the College Program the role I got was working in the stores in Disneyland...New Orleans/Critter Country being my home lands :)
Anywho...then before I knew it time had come to graduate from the Disney College Program!
